DCS students were challenged to read 100 books in honor of 100 school days. They partnered with a buddy to read, and far surpassed the goal!
3rd graders have been researching birds. They have created bird books with Jeannie Connolly and bird models with Andy Shultz.
Despite a four day week, and a 2 hour delay, DCS students were able to learn dances to “Bee Amazing!” Thanks to the instruction of NHDI’s Jeannine Edmunds! It was an awesome show!
DCS students were wonderful audience members during the Veteran’s Day Assembly. Guest speaker, and Veteran, Mr. Dunning provided detailed information about the history of Veteran’s Day. We thank you for your service!
After the parade up the hill, DCS students enjoyed some old time Halloween party games, thanks to our awesome PTO!
A few years ago, DCS decided to wait to hold our Open House until October to coincide with the annual harvest of the gardens with the help of the Cornucopia Project.

Thursday, Oct 11th was the annual walk to school day for DCS. We were hopeful the rains would hold off until we arrived at school, but that wasn’t the case.
