Students at Dublin Consolidated School created their own “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” display to illustrate the 2011 comedy movie starring Jim Carrie, Angela Lansbury, and others. The film portrays a businessman whose life begins to change after he inherits six penguins.

On the last day before the holiday recess, Dublin Consolidated School students went on a “Candy Cane Walk” in the nearby woods. Everyone had fun spotting the candy canes and retrieving them from the trees.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), also known as the Summer Meals Program, provides kids and teens with free meals when school is out.
The program was established to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.
