Dear DCS Parents/Guardians, and Students,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year to both new and returning students! I hope you are ready for a wonderful year! A special welcome to our new families, I look forward to getting to know you and your children! Remember, the first day of school is August 28th.
While staff have enjoyed some well-deserved relaxation time this summer, we have also been busily preparing for the new school year. We are looking forward to continuing our work with students and increasing their skills socially, emotionally, and academically! The Staff at DCS are a wonderful and highly dedicated group of people, and they work diligently to ensure each member of our community feels cared about and grows to the highest of their abilities!
We are looking forward to deepening our partnerships with our families as these connections are critical to the success of our students. If you ever have questions, please do not hesitate to call or email your child’s teacher, myself, or Jo-Ann Hopkins. We are so fortunate to enjoy many community connections and will be holding community lunches on the last Friday of the month. We welcome any member of our special DCS community to join us at 12:15pm, beginning at the September.
