Mr. Dave DeWitt, retired engineer and resident of Dublin, created a 3D Dinosuar Park for DCS! He presented the park to DCS students and shared his wealth of knowledge about engineering and dinosaurs. Students loved it and cannot wait to have time exploring the park including indentifying each dinosaur by name and sound.
Students had to add a few more layers today with the cooler temperatures and breeze, but it adds to the experience of learning under the tents!
Each year students in the upper grades are responsible for raising the flags at our school. They learn about the significance of the flag and treat the flag with great care.
A group of students at DCS found a butterfly with an injured wing. They carefully carried the butterfly to the flower garden in hopes that it would recover and fly away. The epitome of our motto “DCS Cares!”
After the call to “Line Up” DCS students gather to say the Pledge of Allegiance. It is one of the special ways we build our school community.
With the change in the Specialists schedule, DCS students start the year with Music. They are thrilled have Mrs. Petrick back!
Last week, Kindergarten Teacher Susan Ellingwood was able to meet her incoming Kindergarten students and show them their classroom. They were thrilled to explore the playground, to meet their classmates, and to select their desks. We can’t wait to get to know them better!
Last week, Mrs. Ellingwood spent a few days getting her Kindergarten classroom ready. She is so excited to meet our new students!
